Dog hair in the car: what works
Seat, mat and trunk. A simple order so you do not wear dog hair on every drive.
A car is a hair trap: fabric, heat, and a dog that shakes as it jumps in. You do not need to strip the interior every week. Three steps are enough if you do them in order.
1. Block hair before you scrub
A washable seat cover costs less than a detailing. Brush the dog before the ride, especially during a shed. Keep a dedicated blanket on the back seat.
2. Vacuum in the right direction
A 12 V or battery handheld lifts hair from fabric better than a house vacuum on an extension cord in the parking lot. Do the flat of the brush first, then the seams. Floor mats get shaken outside.
3. The last pass
A lint roller or a slightly damp rubber glove for the dash and belts. Do not put water on screens. Empty the handheld bin before it spits hair back out.
FAQ
Can the home robot clean the car?
No. It will not fit in the cabin. Plan on a small handheld.
